It will come as no surprise that most of my writing is for Computeractive. One day I must add up how many words it’s been over the years. There have been some good highlights though

  • First articles about Linux, and then a whole magazine!
  • Finding that OpenOffice ignored some Excel worksheet protection
  • First review of a 2Ghz Pentium 4 based system for What PC and Software (official that is, the Sunday Times broke the NDA with a 50 word NIB)

Computeractive hasn’t all been about words on page or screen. There’s been some other exciting stuff as well

  • The Computeractive Podcast, from which we then moved to….
  • Computeractive TV videos from our studio including:
  • Changing an iPod battery
  • Introducing the Ubuntu desktop (and doing a weatherman impression)

Most recently we’ve been getting into some more Social Networking stuff and I’ve got us started with

  • Twitter
  • Facebook

I’ve been really pleased with Facebook and we’ve got over a thousand fans in a very short time.
